Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA)
Description
The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (the Institute) is the only body authorized by law to register and grant practicing certificates to certified public accountants in Hong Kong. The Institute has more than 42,000 members and more than 18,000 registered students. Members of the Institute are entitled to the description "certified public accountant" and to the designation CPA.

Applicants' Qualifications
For Mainland China university degree holders:
(i) The applicant should be a recognized degree holder majoring in accounting and graduate from a mainland university or degree-granting institution under one of the following categories: PRC Ministry of Education recognized universities; PRC Ministry of Education recognized universities (adult higher education).
(ii) The applicant should have met the QP's admission competency requirements (i.e. with adequate coverage of Financial Reporting, Management Accounting, Financial Management, Auditing, Taxation, Business Law, Company Law, Management Information Systems, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, Management and Ethics) in his/her undergraduate degree or by means of completing a conversion programme (i.e. MPAcc) accredited by the Institute. For those who have deficiency in the competency areas required, they can make up the deficiency by completing the relevant subjects in accredited conversion programmes.

Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®)

Meet the education requirement in one of the following ways:
a. Undergraduate education: A bachelor's (or equivalent) degree or be in the final year of your bachelor's degree program. You will have to complete your bachelor's degree program in order to register for the Level II exam
b. Work experience: Four years of professional work experience (does not have to be investment related), or
c. A combination of professional work experience and education that totals at least four years. Part-time positions do not qualify, and the four-year total must be accrued prior to enrollment.
